STEELS doesn’t tell a tale, it’s the living truth of his life as an inmate; where the struggle and grime of the streets is compounded by mental and physical restrictions. Any and everything you can possibly think about goes down behind those walls in a compromised manner; but at the end of the day it’s still a hustle, still gang warfares, still shootings. The hardest thing to do is to come out alive, the most renowned fear is catching another case. The saddest moments is the reality that as time goes by, all the people who you thought had your back, stop caring, stop visiting, and start declining your calls. Friends become foes, family become distant relatives. $50 is as hard to come by as five stacks…All he prayed for was another shot to exit those doors. Now he understands that everything he prayed for, God is able to do immeasurably more.
